As you maybe aware this year is the clubs 5th Anniversary.

This has not been possible without you so Thank You.

The presentation will be held at Gresley Memorial Club on 12th June 2010 from 2pm until 5pm (More info to follow).

There will be many things happening on this day and will be made a family day for all. There will be some matches in the morning etc and a presntation in the afternoon with a party on the night for ALL to attend. (dont worry England will be on show Vs Usa in the World Cup Opener for England).

Please note that our Summer Training will move back to Woodville Recreational Park (Behind Woodville Infant/Junior School).

It will Start on April 2nd 2010 from 5-30pm until 7-00pm.

From April 30th it will start a little later from 6pm until 7-30pm

Training will continue at these times until October and will then be reviewed.

Any club members will be contacted via text if any changes or if training is called off due to weather (We will train in light rain if safe to do so)

As you know the weather is not the best at the moment !!

Please always check your phone before setting off to a match or training in poor weather even if the weather seems ok at that moment in time and check for a message to inform you of a cancellation etc... I will try and put on this page any changes asap.

We are tryig our best to ensure the children keep active during these times by arranging training sessions at Greenbank (Swadlincote) Leisure Centre.........

As you may be aware we are sometimes told on the day of the Match or Training session that it is cancelled, this is done to protect the playing surfaces but mostly to protect the children/minimise the risk of injury or an accident. (duty of care)

Please arrive to Training sessions at least 10mins prior to the start times and arrive at League/Cup Matches at least 30mins prior to K/O... Always txt if there a problem

We will always inform you of any cancellation or re-arrangement asap normally via a text message where possible.

Please bring CLEAN & DRY Astro Turf trainers if we are at Swad Leisure Centre as its a tiled floor and becomes very slippery when wet. Also please bring a drink along with you !! Each session will be ����£2 wether its for 1 hour or 2 as they charge difernt rates at differnt times.

Hi Folks,
As you are all aware we now have had 5 x league games & 1 x Cup game cancelled (Upto 30th Jan 2010 inc) which means our season we will run for longer than planned.

So far our season is now due to fininsh at the end of April (24th last match) providing no more matches are cancelled.

If you check on www.bjfl.uk.net and select FULLTIME and then select MFSS UNDER 11`s from the drop down menu you can find out the times and dates...

So far most of our games to catch back will be played on Saturdays.

But we now have 2 x midweek games scheduled, these are to be played at 6pm @ shobnall Vs Chellaston Boys on the 14/04/2010 and again 6pm @ Shobnall Vs Belvedere Park Juniors Red on the 21/04/2010.

If you have a look on the site above those teams who need to play games to catch up already have got midweek games planned and obviously Cup runs can alter these fixtures again..........

This will mainly affect us if we need to play one of these teams as of course they already have fixtures planned so we will have to wait for slots to play them.

Please bare this in mind and inform us asap if you are aware that you will not be able to make any of these fixtures or any other fixture asap.....

I have updated our fixtures on our own club website (31st Jan 2010) and will keep you informed as much as possible.

Nearly that time again where Santa Claus comes !!!

Woodville Rangers Kids Xmas Party will be held at Woodville Club downstairs from 2pm til 5pm

We will hold lots of Party Games and a Disco along with a Mini Buffet...

This is where you come in.. Could everyone please either bring some Sandwiches, Cakes, Cobs, Fruit, Crips, Sweets, Biscuits Sausage Rolls etc. There i no set amount for each person to bring but we will cater for around 100 / 150 people.

The kids always have a great time and there will be a Donation Box and a Raffle Prize also with every child being entered to win.

Everyone welcome, Players, Coaches, Brothers, Sisters, Mums, Dads, Granny & Grandad and anyone who is willing to subsidise the coaches beer etc. (Only Joking !!)

Please let your coaches know if you intend to attend or if you cannot make it.

Every player who is registered to play in the BJFL should now of been issued with Stanno Rain Jackets with the exception of U8`s Purple who have had Prostar....

These jackets have been issued to use for Training, Matches and official Club outings (E.G Derby County Parade, Tournaments etc)

These jackets will remain property of the club but the child has the use of the jacket whilst he/she is a member of the club.

All we ask is that the children treat them with respect & wear them with pride by ensuring they are kept as clean as possible.

Please do not machine wash this product, please sponge down where possible, if deeply soiled they may go on an occasional wash with a MAX TEMP of 30 degrees and must be turned inside out 1st. DO NOt tuble dry under any circumstances as this WILL damage the text on the jacket.

We have been able to purchase these Jackets with some kind sponsorship deals/donations and some hard work in obtaining them and following the order through from quotes to delivery.

Please support these local companies and let us all show pride in our community and show off the adverts on our jackets.

The U11`s jackets were kindly sponsored by WARD RECYCLING.
The U11`s Kit was kindly sponsored by DS INTERIORS.

The other team sponsors included "Allens Paving", "Millions Of Toys" & "Swadlincote Aluminium" for the rain jackets.

Dont forget the Halloween Party on Saturday 31st October 2009 at Woodville Working Mens Club (Box Club) upstairs in the function room from 2pm until 5pm....

Entrance fee is only £1 per child (Babies / U2`s Free).

Please bring with you some party food or snacks (Sandwiches, cobs, salad, pasta bowls, crisps, cakes, jellies, sweets etc) and we will do the usual thing so all of the children have a snack.

There will be PRIZES for the Best Costume for a few ages and an Overall Best Costume Award....

Also dont forget to make the Pumkin Lanterns, there were some great ones last year and now the stakes are high to win best Pumkin Lantern Award 2009.....

Just to let you know that over the past 2 or 3 years at Xmas we have had a Family Night Out for all age groups at Gresley Memorial Club in Dec (Will be on 12th Dec 2009).

We have had a "Stars In Your Eyes" night where the coaches, managers, staff & committee have done an act or 2 for everyone to see.....

This year we are looking at changing it slighty by doing "Woodville Has Got TALENT"......... Thsi is for any age group to take part but we are aiming for the Kids to do there own acts on stage.... Jokes, Singing, Boy or Girl Bands, Dancing, Impressions (not of there coaches lol) the list goes on...

Only remember that kids are present so keep it clean !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If your are interested in doing an act please speak to any of the Managers, coaches or club assistants...

You can mix age groups, brother, sisters & friends etc if you wish !!!!

We would just like to say a MASSIVE Thank You to all of the children & parents that turned up to take part....

Could we just remind everyone to collect all of the money in by 30th Oct 2009 and hand in to your manager/coach by 31st Oct at the latest please.......

The Sponsored walk was another success and was a good turn out by various age groups with around 50 / 60 % of the kids that are registered to Woodville Rangers taking part....

We now have a new record of 5 laps being completed in 1 hour limit.... These people are :-

All 4 of these ran around the Lake as much as possbile and managed a time of 1hour 1 minute upto 1 hour 3minutes by the U11`s.

Guys, Girls, Mums & Dads, Make we take this time to Say a Massive Thank You in all of your efforts today... A great turn out !!

Tom & Jake manage 7 x Laps on bikes from the U11s Team, whilst Ashley from the U12`s Team manages to run 5 laps in just 61 minutes with Jack, Trey & Rooney doing 5 laps in just 64 mins from the U11`s.... This beats last years record of 4 laps by a former under 12`s player. Dave summers also manages 5 laps running plus 1 lap on a push bike to help gee on the kids...

But once again a big Thank You to all that managed to take part and raise some money for Woodville Rangers F.C.

A Big Thank You to the organisers, Marshals and Landlord of the Mushroom Hall for putting the spread on and staying open to serve some thirsty folks !!!!!!

Will the Adults step up and try and challenge the new 5 lap running record in an hour ??? We shall see in 2010 !!!!

Finally, Can we ask all PARENTS TO COLLECT THERE MONEY IN ASAP and give to there Managers or Coaches.

We hope to have a target of getting the money in by November the 7th at the latest please !!!!

We are only 1 week away from one of our biggest fund raising events of the year.......

This event was run for the 1st time in 2008 and was a great sucess despite the poor weather

What is it, what do we have to do ??????

1. Get as much sponsorship as you can manage/feel comfortable with. (we know its hard times financially)
2. Meet at the park car park (small, please share lifts if poss) just around 14:40pm on 3rd Oct. Near the Mushroom Hall in Albert Village
3. Anyone is welcome no matter what age. (parent supervision for toddlers tho is req !!!)
4. You can either walk, jog, run around the lake (Albert Village) as many times as you can in just 60 minutes.
5. You will need to take your own drinks/refreshments.
6. Please ensure that you stick to the main path routes ONLY.
7. Ensure all rubbish is disposed of into waste bins ONLY.

We will have a fair number of marshalls scattered around the lake and someone going around on a bike to ensure all kids are safe !!! MOST IMPORTANT THING - SAFETY !!!!!!

All we ask is that everyone respects the residents close by to the lake and all of the lakes surroundings. Also NO feeding animals in the lake etc or throwing !!!!!

Finally, the Mushroom Hall pub will put on some sandwiches and lots of chips after the event for those who would like to get a refreshment and a lite snack after. (Food will be FREE)

This event was very sucessful last year and the safety standard was A1, please keep it up as there are more members now ! Please tell all the children the dangers surrounding them (Lake/Water is Very deep but no reason to go anywhere near) before you come and we will do a little safety talk prior to commencing.

As you know Woodville & Woodville Rangers F.C take fundraising very seriously to help improve the equipment we have at the club & ensure the Club has as many social functions for the children & adults alike where we can all spend time with the family etc.

We have Xmas Raffle Prize Draw (Dec) Stars in your eyes (Dec), Kids Xmas party (Dec) Halloween (Oct) Sponsored Walk (Oct) Annual Presentation (June) and various other functions like Race Nights, Ladies nights & the popular Battle Of The Sexes in August (New 2009).

We are willing to give anything NEW a try as its nice to have some fresh ideas......

Also if you think you or your BOSS would like to sponsor the Club in some way no matter how big or small please speak to any of us or contact below.......

Granville School is running an open day along side Derbyshire Council.
Please take your children along and support them as there will be a number of prizes and stalls to visit.

Woodville Rangers F.C will have a stall there with a simular setup to the Gresley Sport For All we did at the end of June.

The open day starts at 11am & finishes at 3pm.
